The Dedicated Doula Team

My friends, partners & collaborators

Birth-work isn’t just my career - it’s my life.

Birth doesn’t follow a schedule. Providing on-call support to families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and nearly 365 days a year isn’t sustainable as an individual. Unpredictable schedules, long hours away from home, rescheduled appointments and missed events are the reality of this work.

The average doula career lasts just three to five years, mostly due to stress and burnout. In order to be at my best for my clients, while also being my best for my family, I knew I needed to change how I approached the work from the beginning. In 2021 I co-founded The Dedicated Doula Team and I am so, so grateful for this stellar group of humans! They provide friendship, support, collaboration, and the community I need to be able to do this work and support new families.

Always On Call

Labor doesn't follow a schedule. With a team, you're never at risk of an unavailable doula. No matter when contractions begin — 2am or a holiday weekend — a trusted memeber of our team will be there.

Consistent, Continuity of Care

You'll meet and build a relationship with 2 - 3 memebers or our team prenatally. By the time labor arrives, the doula at your birth already knows your story, your preferences, and what matters most to you. You deserve a team that shows up - every single time.

Collective Expertise

Each doula on our team brings her own skill set, techniques, and experience. You benefit from this combined knowledge — from comfort positions to emotional support strategies — tailored to your unique birth.

Support Beyond the Birth

Our care doesn't end in the delivery room. Your team is available for postpartum visits, feeding support, and emotional check-ins — carried through by people who were there from the beginning.

Suzanne Ledbetter

Doula Partner

Suzanne and I are like two peas in a pod - we joke that we share a brain because our approach is so similar. As a doula-tog (doula + photographer) she has supported over 300 families!

In 2023, Suzanne and I started practing as a Doula Team in order to better support our clients while also maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

This means you get both of us on for in-person prenatal and postpartum visits, group chats with faster response times for calls and texts, better availabilty for Zooms and check ins, plus more experience and expertise.

You get to know us both during your pregnancy so you’re never without support from the moment you hire us.
